匠との饗宴シリーズ: Mizunara meets Satsuma Shuzo
オープニングイベント

500年の歴史があると言われる九州の蒸溜酒「焼酎」。地元でのみ消費されているというイメージが強いですが、最近、世界のバーシーンでカクテルの素材に使われています。3月1日より、Mizunara: In Tokyoでは鹿児島の酒蔵「薩摩酒造」の焼酎を使ったカクテル４種を提供する特別月間を行います。

月間イベントの初日、業界関係者向けのオープニングイベントを開催します。

ペレグリニ クリストファー氏による焼酎マスタークラス(セミナー)とテイスティングセッション
ペレグレニ氏は在日23年の焼酎と泡盛のエキスパートで英語と日本語で焼酎について世界各地でセミナーをする第一人者です。時には世界を飛び回り、世界中の次の世代の焼酎愛好家やバーテンダーを啓蒙し、かたや、九州や沖縄の酒蔵へ出向き蒸溜酒の仕込みをすることもあり、造り手と消費者を繋いでいます。定期的にセミナーや執筆をしており、オクスフォード大学出版局が出版するスピリッツとカクテルの本(Oxford Companion to Spirits and Cocktails)の中の焼酎と泡盛のコーナーに寄稿しています。
参加者は薩摩酒造の４種類の焼酎を一緒にテイスティングします。

⁠遠藤氏は、2008年サントリーカクテルチャンピオンでMizunara（香港・シンガポール・日本）のGroup Beverage Directorです。遠藤氏が期間中に提供するカクテルの中から１種を提供します。

A SENSE OF PLACE: Collaboration with MAKERS” Series 

On the 1st of March, we are thrilled to kick off a month long promotion of this 500 year old Spirit from Japan, Shochu in collaboration with Satsuma Shuzo.

2:00 P.M. - 2:45 PM: Exclusive Shochu Masterclass & Tasting led by Christopher Pellegrini

Christopher is a shochu and awamori expert and educator who has lived in Japan for 23 years. When he's not traveling the globe training the next generation of shochu ambassadors and bartenders, he works with distilleries in Kyushu and Okinawa to locate, interact with, and enter new markets. A constant public speaker and writer, he contributed the shochu and awamori sections to the acclaimed Oxford Companion to Spirits and Cocktails.

Attendees will be tasting 4 different Shochu Labels from Satsuma Shuzo.

2:45 P.M - 3:00 PM: Satsuma Shuzo Shochu Cocktail crafted by Masahiko Endo

Masahiko Endo is the Group Beverage Director at Mizunara is the 2008 Suntory Cocktail Champion. He will be presenting 1 cocktail during this presentation which can be enjoyed by the attendees.

This Arran 15 Years is a special Private Cask Bottling for MIZUNARA in Hong Kong, matured in a Sherry Hogshead. Bottled at natural cask strength, it perfectly balances the rich sherry influence from the cask with the distinct Arran spirit after 15 years of maturation. Only 302 bottles were produced.
